Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring a dog?
I'm afraid we do not allow dogs. Whilst we would love to allow dogs, we previously gave this a try, and it just didn't work out with livestock on the farm. This is one of the only things we are quite strict on, so we really hope this doesn't deter you from booking!

When is check in and check out?
Check in is at 3.30pm onwards (if you could kindly let us know roughly what time you arrive, it would be a great help). Check out is at 11am prompt.
Are there any shops nearby?
There is a village shop selling essentials in Sixpenny Handley, which is a ten minute drive away. For several large supermarkets, Salisbury is approximately 11 miles away.
How far are the loos from the tents?
Not far at all! Probably not much further than you'd have to walk in a large house.
Can I park on site?
The parking area is next to the campsite. As we don't allow cars onto the site (a condition of our planning consent), we provide a couple of wheelbarrows to transport your luggage the short distance to the tents.
Can I book a one night stay?
Our prices are based on 2 nights, however we do allow mid-week one night stays for an additional £20 on the base price.
Is there phone signal/electricity?
Due to the rural and idyllic nature of the site, there is no electricity - we think this adds to the experience. There are solar lights, battery powered fairy lights, two gas showers, and communal gas stove. Also we can hire out a small generator for music/lighting when the whole site is hired. Unfortunately phone signal on some networks is very limited (most of the Chalke Valley), we suggest taking a map, or driving (or walking if you're feeling fit!) to the top of the hill where the signal is excellent. We can also charge your phones in our house, and you are welcome to make urgent phone calls from our landline.
Can we have camp fires, and if so, are they private?
Absolutely! This is part of the fun of camping, and we want to make sure your experience is as close to camping in the wild as possible (just without the bad bits!) Each tent has it's own fire pit, with a table and chairs.
Can we pitch and extra tent?
If you are booking the entire site (6 tents), then yes at £10 per night per tent.
Can you recommend a pub?
Yes! The Horseshoe Inn at Ebbesbourne Wake is a traditional country pub, and accessible on foot (45 minute walk on footpaths).
Is there somewhere to keep food cool?
We supply each tent with a coolbox and ice packs. The ice packs can be exchanged using the freezer in the farmyard (half a mile from the site).
