Glamping in Wiltshire
Safari Tents
Spacious and comfortable safari tents, each sleeping up to 4, with gas heater, double bed, and access to private WC/shower.
Our newest addition
More space, more comfort
If you have stayed with us before, you will know the site has kept a fairly similar setup since we opened in 2015. For most guests, our bell tents strike a good balance between camping and comfort. But we also know some people want a bit more space, a few more home comforts, or somewhere to stay for a special occasion.
That is why we added two safari tents in 2024. They give you more room to spread out, a proper raised double bed, a gas heater for colder months, and a small dining table. Each safari tent also has its own loo and shower, so there is no need to share facilities with other guests.
The site itself has not grown. The two safari tents replaced our Firecrest and Goldfinch geodomes, which were the two furthest from the entrance, so overall capacity has not increased for group bookings.
We also still offer one-night stays during the week.
What's included
Everything you need
Each safari tent comes fully equipped so you can relax from the moment you arrive.
Comfortable double bed
We supply bedding for the double mattress. There are also two single futons in each tent.
A private flushing loo
No composting or sharing required! These are located next to each Safari Tent.
Gas heater
Each safari tent is supplied with a gas heater to instantly warm up the tents on chilly days. There is also an outdoor fire pit with logs provided.
A private hot shower
Each safari tent has private use of a gas powered shower, located next to the safari tent.
Beautiful private location
Located on the Wiltshire Dorset border, the site is in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). 11 miles from Salisbury, yet still easily accessible from London.
Crockery, BBQ Tools & Cafetiere
Cafetiere (coffee lovers will need to bring their favourite ground coffee), crockery, cutlery, corkscrew, BBQ tools, coolbox and ice packs in every tent.
Solar, fairy lights & candles
Solar lights outside, with each tent supplied with fairy lights. Candles & matches also available.
Table Tennis
Table tennis, badminton set, and loads of space for football (for anyone feeling energetic)!
Tables & Chairs and BBQ Area
Outside every tent is a table and chairs and a BBQ area. Most people use their fire pit and grill to do their cooking - however there is also a communal basic kitchen with a double hob.
A few little extras
Each tent is supplied with a radio, a pack of playing cards and a few good books. A couple of bottles of locally produced craft cider and marshmallows for toasting are also included.

"The only things we regret is we only booked one night. Wow, wow, wow! What a find. Everything was just wonderful. From the moment we arrived we didn't stop smiling. The views are stunning, the serenity amazing, the safari tent, perfect in every way."
